Here is my take on the Venator Midi.
I designed this between the release of the official Acclamator Midi (75404) and the official Venator Midi (75441), so I drew some inspiration from those models — and from several of the many others posted on Rebrickable that I built along the way.
This is scaled perfectly to the 75404, where the official Venator Midi is still a little small. The model is very sturdy, with the exception of the command spires and smaller details. I built this many times over with real parts during prototyping.
The model has a 16L axle with full-length Technic bricks as a backbone. The upper superstructure plates are connected securely with the #7 axle and pin connector (4459), and the lower with hinge bricks. You could replace the trans-light blue tiles with grey to make it more like the official midi sets, or modify the exterior color scheme to your liking. I played around with that a lot and think I found a good balance — really happy with how it turned out. Hope you enjoy!
